1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Monetre ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Monetre ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Monetre is a personal finance application that helps you track expenses, view spending patterns, and receive AI-generated financial insights. The App provides financial information and visualization tools only.

Monetre is not a financial advisor, tax advisor, investment advisor, credit counselor, or any other form of licensed financial professional. The App does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any other form of professional financial guidance.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Monetre uses artificial intelligence to generate spending insights and financial observations. This AI-generated content is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be relied upon as financial advice.

AI insights are generated based on data you provide and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or incomplete analysis.
AI-generated observations do not constitute recommendations to buy, sell, save, spend, or take any other financial action.
You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any financial decisions.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter into the App.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your financial decisions and that the App is a tool for information and visualization, not a substitute for professional judgment.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Monetre may offer premium features through paid subscriptions. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

Subscription pricing and terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings at any time.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding user-provided data), is owned by Monetre and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

Your financial data remains yours. We claim no ownership over data you enter into the App. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored and used.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We are not liable for any financial losses, investment losses, missed opportunities, or other damages arising from your use of the App or reliance on any information provided by the App, including AI-generated content.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Monetre and its owner(s) from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action or other representative proceeding. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Monetre is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may export your data via CSV at any time before termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the App.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
