Monetre ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance app that gives you clarity about your money. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. We keep things simple: your financial data is yours.
Your transaction and account data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security — only your authenticated user ID can access your rows. All communication between the app and our servers uses TLS encryption. App preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults and AppStorage.
If the AI Insight feature is active, a summary of your recent spending (amounts and categories, no merchant names unless you entered them) is sent to OpenAI's API to generate a personalized insight. This data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and is not retained by OpenAI for model training under their API usage policy.

Our legal basis for processing is your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and the performance of our contract with you (providing the App's features). We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
